This guide provides detailed instructions on installing, using, and removing the Minerva Zoom app. The app enables automated participation in meetings to provide actionable coaching feedback via our AI platform.
How to Add the App
- Create an account on our website at minervadev.org
- Once signed in, navigate to the Install Zoom App page and click Connect Zoom.
- You will be redirected to Zoom to approve access. We only request
user:read:zakpermission to allow scheduling of bot participation. - After approval, Zoom integration is complete. You do not need to remain logged into Minerva for the bot to join meetings.
For Free Zoom Users:
You must enable meeting captions to get transcripts. Visit Zoom Meeting Settings and scroll to "In Meeting (advanced)". Ensure all of the following are enabled:
- Manual captions
- Automated captions
- Full transcript
- Save Captions
How to Use the App
- Invite [email protected] to any meeting. The best way to do this is from within a running meeting. You may invite Minerva Coach as you would any other user to a future calendar event (Google or Outlook).
- Minerva will join the Zoom meeting and provide real-time coaching feedback.
- The meeting will be analyzed, and feedback will be delivered via your Minerva dashboard and in-meeting direct chat messages.
- Message type and frequency can be adjusted on the dashboard under "Settings".
- No recordings or audio are stored. Transcripts are only stored with user permission. All other meeting data are only ever stored in volatile memory and deleted at the end of meetings.
How to Remove the App
- You can remove the app from your Zoom account by visiting your Installed Apps in the Zoom Marketplace.
- Click on Minerva, then choose Uninstall.
- We plan to support uninstallation from within the Minerva platform in a future release (e.g., during account deletion).
